In this position, the individual will be responsible for bringing the new process technology on the advanced memory device development, and the main task will be the establishment of process conditions on each module (FEOL to BEOL) in cooperation with various integration and device teams of both SanDisk and Toshiba. The individual will develop new or modified process formulations, define processing or handling equipment requirements and specifications, and review processing techniques and methods applied in the manufacture, fabrication, and evaluation of semiconductors. In addition, the individual will review product requirements with design staff to ensure compatibility of processing methods, compile and evaluate test data to determine appropriate limits and variables for process or material specifications, and may conceive and plan projects involving definition and selection of new concepts and approaches in the processing or development of new or improved processes in photo masking, diffusion, deposition, wafer fabrication, and device physics.
This position requires a BS, MS, or PhD in EE or Physics (major field in semiconductor device physics) and at least 5 years experience in semiconductor process development (etch/diffusion/LP-CVD/CMP) is desired. The ideal individual must have proven ability to achieve results in a fast moving, dynamic environment. The individual must be self-motivated and self-directed, however, must have also demonstrated ability to work well with people and have a proven desire to work as a team member, both on the same team and outside of the team. In addition, the individual must have the abilities to work effectively cross-functionally, coordinate priorities and initiatives, troubleshoot and analyze complex problems, and to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Excellent English & Japanese communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills are required.
