This position requires you to coordinate and manage introduction of new products, develop new and innovative test methodologies to test next generation memory technology, as well as define and debug existing test programs. A staff enterprise component product design engineer will primarily be involved with raw memory devices at a device level and understand the system level behavior including controller/FW to help debug and design the appropriate test coverage. In order to meet product road map deliverables, your responsibilities will be to provide test solutions to manufacturing engineers, drive yield and TT cuts for company cost savings, and perform test support FA using various testers and test equipment, logic analyzers, oscilloscope and inhouse bench test platforms. Other responsibilities will be to debug/FA of electrical and physical failures found during product, system, quality and customer level testing. You will also be required to communicating technical product status to internal and cross functional team management.A Staff PE will assist with design and procurement of test fixtures for new product configurations. You will be required to modify and develop software programs for the various testers that are utilized for testing and analyzing yields. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining various technical documents to assist with supporting, training, and educating various groups within WDC. A Staff PE will have thorough knowledge of the entire enterprise component manufacturing process from wafer Die sort to package level testing (DS, CP, KGD, SH, BI, MT).
