This role will be based in EMEA and will report to the Director of Marketing in the Embedded Flash Solutions Group of Western Digital based in California. The SMM will be responsible for driving our overall marketing activities in EMEA for Western Digital’s Automotive Segment. Responsibilities will include market TAM and trend analysis as it relates to Flash storage, providing inputs to the product Market Requirements Documents, preparing, positioning and presenting Western Digital’s product portfolio to Tier1 and OEM customers, sales and distribution training, driving the design win and overall customer satisfaction process, tradeshow activities, competitive analysis and some amount of press and analyst work.
The ideal candidate will have around 10 years of experience in the advanced semiconductor market or at a Tier1 supplier, in both technical and product marketing roles, with an understanding of the European Automotive Electronics market, and a track record of driving design wins in this segment. A BSEE or equivalent is desired, and an MBA is a plus. You will be working with a local sales and support team spread across Europe, with significant travel involved, and need to be a self-starter with good organization and time management skills. Excellent written and presentation skills in English required with German as a plus.
Ideal location would be London area or Munich/Stuttgart based, but we will consider other EU based candidates based on skillset.
