Assist the Plant General Manager in nurturing a unique corporate culture that offers a great business platform for its employees and values people and people’s contribution in the process of achieving excellent financial performance for the company;Provide leadership in HR resource planning with clear deliverables (metrics) to support change strategies, which align resources and drive a collaborative and supportive high performing work environment;Assess the HR capability versus ability to meet critical business goals;Establish and execute strategies to fill any gap for continuous improvement;Develop and implement retention strategy that ensures the organizations’ ability to attract, develop, retain and fully leverage the talent needed to achieve sustainable competitive advantage and employee satisfaction;Initiate training and development programs on leadership development, internal communication,  team building and cultural awareness, etc.,  to provide advice, counsel, and coaching to the business leaders and employee populations;Understand HR policies and procedures and ensure the site is in compliances with regulatory & corporate standards.Implement Global Performance Assessment programs and develop succession plans for key roles in the plant;As a member of the leadership team of the plant, participate in the development and execution of key business strategies;Support the expansion of the company from human resources perspective.Requirements:Energetic, quick-thinking and decisive with ability to make sound judgment at work;Able to handle delicate communication in an effective way in a matrix management structure;Skills to grow people, with experiences in working with line managers to develop in-house or outsource training programs to grow the company’s people;Able to design schemes and programs to build a culture that promotes people, relationships and meritocracy to develop the full potential of the company’s staff;Experience in managing the human resources function amenable for a company sized to grow to 3000 -4000 people;A good track record of hiring people with a strong network of hiring contacts as well as experience integrating new hires into the organization in order to fulfill the company’s need to hire a relatively large number of people quickly;Good understanding of compensation and benefits, with an ability to continuously benchmark, survey and design packages to retain good employees as well as a proven record of having a level of understanding beyond just knowing how to do this, supported by experience and actual successes in this area;Strong values and integrity, with a high level of respect and empathy with people, and a clear desire to serve others as well as a genuine wish to do something good for the organization and its people;A mature practitioner with a heart to serve people and their needs and can lead by example, and who is also at ease with relating to those from different backgrounds;Strong language ability on effective communication, Malay and English.Good understanding and sense of cultural difference, be able to manage and enable a positive work environment with multi-ethnical groups working together cohesively.Location:                         Penang, Malaysia
