  • Inventory management – reconciliation of all inventories within operations responsibility weekly
  • Manages Shipping, Receiving, Stocking, and Warehousing of Inbound Materials to DCS facility.
  • Transportation coordination of above
  • Custom compliance with all shipments outbound of DCS operations
  • Managing daily operation and staff of DSC Shipping Department
  • Monitoring the quality, quantity, cost and movement and storage goods.
  • Coordinating and controlling the inventory, cycle count and inventory management system.
  • Managing staff resources according to changing requirements.
  • Communicate with DSC Manufacturing/production lines and Outside Logistics Providers to Western Digital
  • Implementing health and safety requirements as necessary to be compliant to Local, State regulations.
  • Managing DCS Finished Goods reconsolidation reports, Weekly and Monthly and ensure they are sent to the proper individuals as required.
  • Required to make monetary decisions on Aging inventory per Western Digital guidelines as provided by NA Logistics Aging coordinator
  • Performs WOWO disposition of all Aged inventory and submits documents Finance for final approval. As per Western Digital guidelines

  • Works on other assignments and special projects relating to logistical issues or assigned by Supervisor

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Train individuals in department to perform their functions as required
  • Develop one on one’s with subordinates to ensure they are working towards Western Digital Corporate and Departmental Goals
  • Ensure all task within the department are completed accurately and in accordance with all necessary requirements.
  • Develop ISO documentations as required to be Compliant with ISO regulations
  • Lead by example – ensure you are capable to complete all tasks in your department
Supervision Received
  • Able to work independently without close supervision
  • Receive general instructions on new assignments from either direct Supervisor or his(er) supervisor.

  • 3-5 years’ experience in international and domestic transportation preferable in the high tech industry
  • Strong independent worker

Education and/or Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in domestic and international logistics
  • High School Graduate

Specific Knowledge

  • Delivery experience with US Distribution customers
  • Experience with Customer Routing Guides
  • Knowledge and experience in working with SAP ERP systems in a logistics environment is preferred
  • Oracle knowledge would be add benefit.




Computer, Software, Tools, Equipment, and Machinery Skills

  • Proficient with SAP  is Preferred
  • Intermediate experience with MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook,

Language Skills, able to:

  • Communicate effectively
  • Perfected verbal and written communication skills
  • Read and interpret technical documents and diagrams
  • Create and maintain status reports
  • Write weekly activity reports and work procedures
  • Ability to  present information and respond to questions from peers, engineers and managers, would be a plus

Mathematical Skills, able to:

  • Add, subtract, multiple and divide, calculate rates, percents, weights, areas and volumes
  • Draw and interpret bar graphs, and other graphs blue prints, and technical diagrams

Reasoning Ability, able to:

  • Interpret a variety of information furnished in written, oral, diagram, graph or schedule form
  • Deal with problems involving several concrete and abstract variables

Interpersonal Skills, able to:

  • Communicate effectively with peers, managers and outside personnel
  • Strong time-management and multi-tasking skills
  • Must be a team player
  • Work with, persuade and influence a variety of employees in a variety of functions to solve problems
  • Maintain appropriate work-place behavior. Conduct business in an ethical, honest, and sincere manner
  • Facilitate and lead small to medium group meeting involving personnel at remote sites (factories, subcontractors and suppliers) and at corporate
