ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with T&OD team to re-implement a Launch Training Program and Mentor Program across the organization 

  • Maintain and track the Launch Training and Mentor Program, inclusive of training of mentors 

  • Manage budget and coordinate annual events, executive exposure and community involvement schedule for Launch participants 

  • Manage and maintain tracking for quarterly/semi-annual review process of Launch participants 

  • Manage rotation and/or graduation schedule of Launch participants 

  • Partner with Compensation team on reimplementation of Launch comp adjustment/promotion budget 

  • Partner with UR Director and HRBP in implementation of new official Launch Programs across the business 

  • Track and report out on Launch participant success and retention throughout their careers at Western Digital 

  • Schedule and facilitate regularly meetings with Launch Program Leads to review project tasks for status, changes to resourcing, skills, etc. and follow-up with notes and action items 

  • Manage UR Coordinators 

  • As a leader in the UR team, assist with hiring, onboarding and training of new UR Recruiters 

  • Act as a back-up for campus recruiting events in which we have event overlap 

  • Monitor and assist in the resolution of project issues   

  • Provide regular status reports to identified project stakeholders 

  • Liaise with Communications department to promote the UR Programs’ milestones on Connect 

  • Act as a sponsor and agent for change, while promoting / encouraging innovation and continuous improvement

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 7+ years of work experience 

  • Prefer experience in Human Resources/Talent Acquisition/University Recruitment environment 

  • BA/BS degree required, MBA/MS degree preferred 

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills with extensive experience creating presentations 

  • Strong  interpersonal, organization, business communication and time management skills 

  • High level of initiative and ability to structure ambiguity 

  • Demonstrated problem solving capabilities 

  • Strong project management skills  

  • Strong attention to detail and follow up skills  

  • Ability to work well under pressure, juggle tasks and work efficiently against deadlines 

  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new responsibilities 

  • Comfort working in a non-hierarchical environment 

  • Team player; works well with others 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with demonstrated expertise in PowerPoint and Excel
