  • Enterprise Architecture Project Work (80%)

    • Develops and maintains System Map, Reference Architectures, and SME program

    • Helps develop, curate, and maintenance of Architecture Artifacts including reusable assets where possible and adhering to WDC architecture best practices, standards and policies

    • Helps develop, support, and promote the Architecture Roadmaps and Blue Prints and provides input for related strategies

    • Supports Data Harmonization services by sponsoring key cross-enterprise data harmonization initiatives

    • Leads development, curation, management, and promotion of Standard/Leading Practices by identifying and sharing best practices for data architecture design, tools, and methodologies

    • Identify data architecture issues (e.g., meeting a practitioner’s business need is difficult/not possible within existing standards) and manages Technical Debt

    • Participates in Pilots, POCs, and Evaluations including project management, requirements gathering, architecture and solutioning to maintain and update Architectures.

    • Provides project management and analyst support

    • Reviews and manages data architecture decisions on project, enforcing data quality, security, and integrity

    • Partner with Data Governance, Master Data Management, Enterprise Performance Management and Big Data Platform and Analytics team to promote Architecture

  • Intake/ Issues Process Management (10%)

    • Manage the Issue Tracking / Intake Process with focus on review/approval speed and ability to prioritize requests based on pre-defined criteria

    • Manage the Issue Tracking process, with focus on speed and effectiveness of issue resolution

    • Manage the flow of requests for data architecture assistance from the Analytics COE, EPM, Big Data team as well as from other practitioners

    • Develop criteria by which to evaluate requests based on their potential contribution to the business and cost to execute

  • Asset, Policies & Standards Execution (10%)

    • Support capture of intellectual capital from work performed in the form of best practices, re-usable architecture blueprints, and other artifacts

    • Review and provide input on the Policies/Standards/Assets process, with focus on asset re-use

    • Collaborate with team members to implement policy standards/guidelines, support development of assets/standards/policies, and to identify project remediation actions

    • Execute compliance controls as needed on projects

    • Align with Compliance Manager to ensure projects follow established standards and policies

    • Align with Enterprise Data Architect on architecture standards, policies, and processes, ensuring consistent application to projects



  • Education Requirements:

    • Bachelors of Science in computer science, information management systems, informatics or related field.

      • MBA or equivalent work experience required.


  • Years of Experience (General Guidelines):

    • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in architecture required

    • 5+ years’ experience with TOGAF or similar methodology

    • Strong project management background


  • Technical Experience

    • Experience in ANSI SQL

    • Expertise in a SQL editor such as Toad

    • Expertise in data modeling, both normalized and denormalized, logical and physical

    • Expertise with large scale Data Warehouses, including cloud solutions, e.g. Amazon AWS (highly desired)

    • Expertise within a major RDBMS (Oracle, MS SQL, DB2, Teradata)

    • Experience with ETL (Informatica, Snaplogic, Datastage, etc.) (highly desired)

    • Experience with Data Integration (TIBCO, Oracle, etc.)

    • Experience with Big Data platform and tools such as Hadoop, HBase, Hive, Redshift, etc.

    • Experience with Distributed Database Management Systems
