Job Description Summary
Senior IT Storage Engineer will primarily provide Storage engineering support and solutions for enterprise storage systems in our global Data Centers and business offices. Storage disciplines should focus on HPE 3PAR, Tegile, HDS VSP, HUS/VM, NetApp Cluster mode and 7 mode arrays, as well as EMC VNX, Dell Compellent & Cisco Fabric using MDS Directors. Must have working knowledge of x86, Linux systems & VMWare. Working knowledge for the functions of - Network and Infrastructure Security, Capacity Planning, Performance Management, High Availability and Disaster Recovery, Maintenance are all required . Scripting experience with Python and automation using Ansible or other tools is a plus. The candidate will collaboratively work within a high performing team within a globally dispersed organization. Prior working experience in a global role is deserved as well as ability to work and function independently with minimal oversight.
Responsibilities & Desired traits
•Delivery of effective, integrated engineering solutions focused on supporting SanDisk's global storage and data environments.
•Supporting a wide variety of storage arrays, including HPE 3PAR, Tegile, VSP, HUS/VM, NetApp FAS, VNX, Dell Compellent
•Fibre Channel switches using Cisco MDS & Brocade Directors
•Configuration and maintenance of storage component software, including creation and maintenance of documentation as it pertains to the storage infrastructure procedures and configuration
•Working knowledge of Symantec Netbackup, VMWare ESXi server & vSphere software is a plus.
•Strong written & verbal communication skills
•Strong organization, planning, and project management skills
•Ability to adjust, sort and distinguish priorities. Handle multiple tasks and be flexible in a fast paced environment.
•Ability to meet deadlines and commitments in an environment that requires multitasking among multiple concurrent projects while also handling interrupts

Key technical skills with hands-on experience
•Expert knowledge of Network Appliance (NetApp) hardware and software experience administering in mission-critical, 7x24 production environments
•Expert knowledge of HPE 3PAR and/or HDS VSP hardware and software experience
•Solid understanding of Network Appliance (NetApp) CDot and 7-Mode operations principles and techniques.
. Solid working knowledge in using 3PAR SSMC and CLI
•Solid working knowledge of HDS CCI in setting up and configuring HUR, SI.
•Strong knowledge of FC, CIFS, NFS, storage monitoring and upgrades of both OS and firmware.
•Experience with All-Flash storage arrays is a plus
•Expertise in setting up NetApp OCUM
•Experience with Cisco MDS Director class switches in setting up VSANs and zones.
