Western Digital Corporation (WDC) is seeking a Senior Treasury Manager based at WDC’s Milpitas office in Milpitas, CA with direct responsibility for the Company’s growing FX cash flow/ balance sheet and net investment hedging programs including strategy, program management, performance measurement, accounting as well as management reporting and risk management policy compliance. This position reports to the Treasury Director and will also assist in managing all funding and related lease financings of the Company’s joint venture operations with TMC/Bain.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Senior Treasury Manager will help manage and maintain on-going banking and credit relationships to support all FX transactions, review, analyze and recommend hedging structure/transactions, as well as prepare for the quarterly FX Committee meetings involving the CFO, Treasurer and various VPs of Finance. Liaise, review and coordinate with Accounting and SEC Reporting on hedge accounting and documentation. Liaise with Legal and operations finance teams to perform business and legal review of banking and other financial counter-party agreements. Manage and liaise with Financial Planning and Analysis and SEC reporting on all internal reporting and forecast of Foreign Exchange variance, Other Income and Expense as well as earnings release and board meeting materials.
The Senior Treasury Manager will also support the Assistant Treasurer to optimize working capital, funding and liquidity management around the world, in particular the worldwide legacy SanDisk entities. Review and coordinate with Tax Department to optimize these operating units’ as well as the JV’s capital structures, and coordinate appropriate inter-company funding strategies for these entities.
The candidate must possess a keen business understanding to identify innovative solutions, establish automated treasury processes/reporting and perform strategic level evaluations of global treasury functions to insure continuous process improvements. Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- MBA and/or CFA Preferred
- 10+ years treasury related experience, specifically experience with corporate foreign exchange hedging strategies, operations, and detailed knowledge FAS 133/ASC 815 accounting requirements
- A self-starter with the ability to work under tight deadlines and to prioritize under pressure
- Unafraid to challenge assumptions and status quo; comfortable with change
- Strong intellectual curiosity with the ability to draw solid, independent conclusions based on complex ambiguous information
- Experience deploying “best practice” FX and global treasury processes
