Western Digital is looking for a senior level digital marketer that is analytical, creative and hands-on to be part of the newly created Marketing Analytics and Strategy group within World Wide Marketing.

The Marketing Analytics and Strategy group is tasked with providing end-to-end marketing analytics, insights and best practices to various marketing execution groups to enable data driven decisions related to campaigns and marketing spend effectiveness and efficiencies.

In the senior manager role, you will be working with various marketing teams (regional marketing teams, brand marketing teams, BU product marketing) to assist with end-to-end campaign strategy, planning, establishing measurement plans and in-field campaign optimizations. You will work with different agencies globally and in-house teams to champion and drive measurement plans and campaign optimizations across channels such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, DSP’s/Ad Networks, as well as testing emerging platforms and ad formats.

To be successful in this role, you will need to a full-stack, quantitative-minded, hands-on digital marketing expert with experience managing SEM, email, paid display/video & paid social campaigns from campaign strategy, audience targeting, tactical optimization to multi-channel reporting and analytics. While you are a digital marketing guru, you are very familiar with offline media vehicles such as print, TV, out-of-home and how they work together with digital marketing vehicles.

 

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with different marketing teams including international regional marketing teams on end-to-end campaign strategy, audience targeting, monitoring, creative testing, bidding optimization, and experimentation across SEM, display & social channels to meet customer acquisition and retention goals

  • Provide guidance to marketing teams on the day-to-day execution and optimization of paid search, social, and display (mobile and web) campaigns across Adwords, Bing, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and DoubleClick For Publisher while working with agencies and vendor contacts

  • Implement rigorous test-and-learn methodology across new platforms, ad products, audiences and creative types via A/B testing and share best practices to enable full-scale adoption of this mindset and approach among marketing teams

  • Establish, develop and maintain cadence for reporting/dashboards of paid media campaign results and data-centric learnings for various WW marketing teams

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the marketing operations team to enable automated reporting and personalized marketing

  • Develop and document best practices regarding the measurement of ad effectiveness, especially as it relates to marketing effectiveness and multi-channel campaign optimization

  • Analyze trends and improve media performance based on KPIs

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • BA/BS degree in Marketing, Marketing Analytics or associated field from a top tier school. MBA or a Masters degree in a related field is a plus.

  • 8-10+ years of digital marketing experience, managing digital campaigns to acquire & engage users throughout the funnel in B2C and B2B environments. International experience is a plus.

  • Familiar with traditional media—print, TV and out-of-home advertising

  • Experience working with paid channels such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, DSP’s and Ad Networks and A/B testing strategies and platforms

  • Experience targeting different audience segments using 1st and 3rd party data

  • Experience with multi-touch attribution and understanding media mix modeling

  • Experience with ABM campaigns and a good understanding of email marketing

  • Experience in successfully managing multiple multichannel campaigns at an agency or in-house

  • Proven success in utilizing analytics to provide strategic recommendations and drive concrete action

  • Strong analytical/modeling skills with the ability to convert raw data into actionable insights. Experience with BI tools (example: Data Studio, Tableau, Domo etc.) preferred. 

  • Strong understanding of analytics platforms such as Facebook Ads Manager, Twitter Analytics, Hootsuite, Sysomos, Spredfast, etc.

  • Strong understanding of underlying marketing technologies and digital platforms

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with an ability to distill complex ideas into easily understandable stories

  • Strong executive presence. Highly organized and detail-oriented

  • Experience building performance marketing and analytics team

  • Self-motivated, comfortable working independently
