Development Expediter functions as the primary interface between wafer manufacturing, engineering and Development to ensure that development wafers are processed in a timely manner. Specifically, Development expediters are responsible for tracking and coordinating the movement of development wafers, interacting with wafer manufacturing to broker priorities and escalating any issues that impede the movement of critical wafers/batches. In addition, Development Expediters need to prepared and present reports that reflect the status of development wafers in key meetings as well as via email on weekends. Process Technicians also play a role in assisting with production WIP movement/tracking as needed.
This position requires exceptional organization, communication and interpersonal skills. You must have the ability to collaborate with key stakeholders in order to meet ship commitments. You will be expected to prepare and present reports detailing the status of development batches in the manufacturing line. This position requires some knowledge of wafer processes, routings and a familiarity with MESA (or similar shop floor control systems to track the status of parts. You will be expected to perform routine transactions in MESA, which might include entering, reviewing and editing wip messages; changing class codes (priorities); moving parts from one operation to the next; placing parts on hold; and splitting batches. The ability to understand and interpret production reports is an important attribute, as is the ability to work with Excel at an intermediate level.
